Why Lilly's Little Barkery ? And how it all started. Here is Some Background
We founded Lilly's Little Barkery with one goal in mind: providing homemade treats to all fur-babies with our online Pet Supply Shop.
Our passion started with Lilly, Lilly is a Jack Russel with big pointy ears that stole our hearts with little pink paws and her lovable nature from an early age of 6 weeks old as she came into our lives as a companion for Spot her bigger brother.
In the beginning when Lilly was a few months old she received store bought treats like her brother before her, but Lilly never liked them much yet Spot never minded. However Lilly loved biltong treats , peanut butter, cheese , milk and ice cream. Her contempt for store bought treats made her Mother try to give Lilly treats that will make her happy too because thats what treats are for.
This brought on the idea of homemade cookies. The very first ones was peanutbutter treats, one of her favorite snacks. Lilly showed much interest in these "cookies' curious might be a better word because she could smell the peanutbutter she so loved.
Needles to say the first ones was not perfect. But Mother did not give up, she continued to try and try new ideas and recipes to make her spoiled fur-child happy. For when Lilly was happy everyone in the house was happy.
After years of practice Mother has finnaly found the perfect recipes and set out to make variations so that Lilly can have something diffrent everytime.
